The newly released U.S. AI Action Plan emphasizes infrastructure, secure AI development, and export controls to maintain American leadership, according to Anthropic.

The White House has introduced ‘Winning the Race: America’s AI Action Plan,’ a comprehensive strategy aimed at ensuring the United States retains its leadership in the field of artificial intelligence. The plan emphasizes accelerating AI infrastructure and federal adoption, as well as strengthening safety testing and security coordination, according to Anthropic.

Accelerating AI Infrastructure and Adoption

The AI Action Plan prioritizes the expansion of AI infrastructure and adoption, aligning with Anthropic’s previous recommendations to the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP). This includes measures to streamline data center and energy permitting to meet AI’s power demands.
