Dell Technologies partners with NVIDIA to enhance AI server capabilities using Blackwell, aiming to meet the growing demand for AI technologies across various industries.
In a significant advancement in artificial intelligence infrastructure, Dell Technologies is partnering with NVIDIA to create cutting-edge servers powered by NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture. This collaboration aims to meet the burgeoning demand for AI technologies, as businesses and nations move from experimentation to full-scale implementation, according to NVIDIA’s blog.
The legacy of mass production, pioneered by Henry Ford over a century ago, finds a modern parallel in the AI industry, which is now focused on producing the ‘engines’ of intelligence. As the global demand for AI solutions surges, leading system builders are scaling up the production of servers vital for AI factories. Dell Technologies, in partnership with NVIDIA, is at the forefront of this technological renaissance.
Michael Dell, CEO of Dell Technologies, emphasized the company’s mission to democratize AI for millions of customers globally. At the recent Dell Technologies World, he highlighted the capabilities of the Dell AI Factory with NVIDIA, which supports enterprises in managing the entire AI lifecycle, from training to deployment, at any scale.
The latest AI servers from Dell, equipped with NVIDIA Blackwell, boast a remarkable 50-fold increase in AI reasoning inference output and a five-fold improvement in throughput compared to previous platforms. These servers are designed to tackle some of the world’s most pressing challenges, such as disease prevention and advanced manufacturing processes.
Dell’s facilities are capable of producing thousands of NVIDIA GPUs weekly, with the GB200 NVL72 systems being a prime example of their output. The company’s ability to integrate compute, network, and storage under one roof sets it apart from competitors. A single Dell factory can deploy 100,000 NVIDIA GPUs in just six weeks, underscoring its efficiency.
The demand for AI infrastructure continues to grow as more countries announce plans for AI factories. The European Union, alongside nations like India, Japan, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Norway, are all investing in AI facilities, highlighting the increasing global focus on AI technology development.
