CNG scooter launches in india

#CNGScooter in india. Two wheeler launched in Delhi

Narendra Modi’s big achievement.

The Minister for Petroleum, Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan, along with Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar, gave a green signal to the introduction of CNG kits into two-wheelers in the city, at a function organized at the Indraprastha Gas Limited’s CNG re-filling station in the city’s CGO complex area

The government will run the project on a pilot basis as it aims to attract two-wheeler users to adopt the technology. It says that the kits have been approved by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI). It estimates that the two-wheelers with CNG kit will emit 75 per cent less hydrocarbons than a petrol-powered two-wheeler. It also claims a 20 per cent reduction in carbon monoxide (CO) emission.

After Delhi, the pilot project will be extended to other cities like Pune and Bangalore. At present, Delhi has around 5 lakh CNG-run private cars and around 3 lakh CNG-run commercial vehicles.

The launch is currently a Pilot-Project and will include running and testing of around 50 Honda Activa scooters by the home delivery personnel of the popular pizza chain Domino’s.
