Anthropic and Salesforce expand their partnership, integrating AI model Claude into Salesforce’s Agentforce platform to enhance AI capabilities in regulated industries like healthcare and finance.





Anthropic and Salesforce have announced an expansion of their partnership to integrate Anthropic’s AI model, Claude, into Salesforce’s Agentforce platform. This collaboration aims to provide advanced AI solutions to regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, cybersecurity, and life sciences, according to Anthropic.

AI Integration for Regulated Industries

The enhanced partnership will see Claude become a preferred model for Salesforce’s Agentforce platform, providing secure and trusted AI capabilities. The integration is designed to keep sensitive data and workloads secure, leveraging Salesforce’s trusted environment. Anthropic is the first large language model provider to be fully integrated within the Salesforce trust boundary, ensuring that all data traffic is contained within Salesforce’s virtual private cloud. Companies like CrowdStrike and RBC Wealth Management are already utilizing Claude in Agentforce to create new AI-driven customer experiences.

Industry-Specific AI Solutions

Anthropic and Salesforce are also developing AI solutions tailored to specific industries, starting with financial services. By integrating Claude with Salesforce’s Agentforce Financial Services, AI agents will be equipped to understand complex industry frameworks and provide domain-specific insights. For instance, financial advisors can use AI agents to summarize client portfolios, track industry regulations, and automate customer interactions, transforming hours of work into streamlined workflows.

Enhanced Slack Integration

The partnership further deepens the integration between Claude and Slack, enabling users to leverage AI for everyday tasks. Through Slack’s Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, Claude can access and analyze Slack channels, messages, and files, facilitating decision-making and data extraction. Users can invoke Claude within Slack to perform web searches, analyze documents, and retrieve insights from Salesforce CRM data, accelerating the transition from discussion to decision.

Mutual Product Use

The collaboration is strengthened by both companies utilizing each other’s products. Salesforce is deploying Claude Code across its global engineering teams to enhance productivity and streamline development processes. Concurrently, Anthropic employs Claude within Slack to optimize internal workflows, demonstrating the potential benefits for customers.

While Agentforce powered by Anthropic and Claude-Slack integrations are currently available for select customers, further developments in regulated industry solutions and Agentforce 360 integration are underway, with more details to be announced in the coming months.
