Since its launch in October 2024, Anichess has seen substantial growth, fueled by a successful funding round of $1.8 million led by Sfermion and Amber Group. The game’s unique approach to chess, integrating magical spells and dynamic gameplay, has captivated a diverse audience of both gamers and chess enthusiasts. Players have engaged in over 500,000 matches, accumulating more than 3 million minutes of gameplay, and the game’s Discord community has grown to 40,000 members actively contributing to its development.

Committed to fostering the Web3 gaming sector, Anichess is collaborating with local developers and educational institutions in Hong Kong to conduct hackathons, workshops, and networking events.
